Saina Nehwal dedicates her Olympic medal to father:
Hyderabad Ace Shuttler Saina Nehwal made history by becoming the first Shuttler of India to win an Olympic medal in the 2012 Games.
The Olympics returned home Wednesday to a rapturous reception. In an exclusive chat with one of the media channel at his residence in Hyderabad dedicated the medal to her father that she referred to as the reason behind its success.
"This medal is for my dad.'s Why I'm on this stage today," he said.
His semifinal loss to the world of China, Wang Yihan 1 was heartbreaking, but nevertheless returned with a medal. She revealed that the loss was a disappointment to her and she did not speak with anyone after the game.
"I felt bad after losing the semifinals. I wanted to play in the final. Unfortunately, my strategy was wrong for that game."
"I could not believe I won an Olympic medal. It was only after giving few interviews that reality hit me."
As for his show at the quadrennial event is concerned, Saina is happy with his performance and says that the Olympics is an event that does not feel any pressure despite the worldwide attention.
However, he conceded that in the event there is an emotional pressure on her.
"I'm happy with the performance. There was some emotional pressure, but the Olympics is a competition that does not feel any pressure. I love and enjoy playing in the Olympics," he said.
As for how to spend your rest before the training begins, the gold medalist of the Commonwealth said he wants to enjoy the time and spend time with family.
